99 THE RAILWAY CHILDREN, Laugh, Bristol Bierkeller, Thursday 5 May 1988
Got a little drunk and played pool at this well-frequented venue. Support, Manchester's Laugh, played a fun, upbeat set despite a complacent audience, with single "Time To Lose It" a highlight.
The Railway Children, support to Lloyd Cole my last time out, were better in a smaller venue, but still competent rather than exciting, with the quality of the material higher than their performance.
