Drove down for this long-haul gig, picking up Paul Crowfoot from his Uni in Uxbridge on the way! Got there despite traffic worries in time for the Wild Swans, who again were utterly God-like (as you'd expect) in their powerfully resonant and anthemic rockist performance, promoting soon to be new single "Young Manhood", tonight's set opener. Missed most of The Lemon Drops' rocky set, being otherwise occupied talking to the Wild Swans in the bar, Paul Simpson in particular having remembered us from the Astoria gig at the end of 1986. Fantastic stuff!
