Bopped down in more than good time to catch former Chesterfields roadie Jason lead his band Beat Hotel through an impressive storm of hard-rocking pop tunes, with surprisingly excellent melodies in the process. Worth seeing again! The Chesterfields played a late headliner set based largely on new LP, the more "mature" direction of "Crocodile Tears", also sporting a female violinist during their nevertheless fun and boppy set of jangly ramshackle pop. Met the boys again afterwards for a lengthy chat before calling it a night - a late one at that...
