32 LLOYD COLE AND THE COMMOTIONS, The Jazzateers, London Hammersmith Palais, Monday 2 September 1985


Took the train up and arrived in time to ignore the anonymous support band. Lloyd Cole, shorn of all his previous nervous tics and very much the charismatic frontman now, oozing panache and confidence, led the Commotions through a stylish strumalong set of intelligent understated pop, based largely on new "Easy Pieces" LP.
